Abstract

The Municipality of Fortaleza, through the Municipal Department of Education, in dialogue with the Union of Education Workers of Fortaleza. As well as it has invested in public policies on public education along the years. We spark initiatives that reinforce the quality of teaching. Also, it enhances the career of its teaching staff. Therefore, the present work aims at describing the stages of the Teachers without Borders program as a strategy for teacher training and development of the teaching and learning process. Hence, the central question is the following: How do Teachers without Borders program contribute to quality public education in the city of Fortaleza? The capital of Ceará is recognized for the quality of public education, both in its indicators and in innovative initiatives that consolidate this process. In this sense, the purpose of this experience report is to share views on how the two teacher-researchers view their experiences in public schools in Ireland and France. Among the nuances presented here, we highlight the comparison between curricula, schools, as well as exchange of learning between peers from different countries.
