Abstract

This work analyzes the Indian participation in the process of construction of a nonindian place in Roraima, in the twentieth century. We use a diversified material – texts already published and thoughts of Michel de Certeau inasmuch as he defends that reports build places.

Raimundo Nonato Gomes dos Santos, Universidade Federal de Roraima

Doctor in Social History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo / PUC-SP (2015); Master in Social History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003) and a degree in History from the State University of Ceará (1989). He is a professor linked to History Course Coordination of Federal University of Roraima since 1992.
