Abstract

O artigo analisa aspectos do processo histórico de ocupação da Amazônia, para compreender como se moldou o imaginário sobre a região. O objetivo é verificar o caráter ecossistêmico comunicacional, ou seja, a complexa rede de significados propagada pelas relações entre os sistemas político-econômico, sociocultural e ambiental. O trabalho é apoiado em autores como PROUS (2007), GONDIM (2007), BENCHIMOL (2009) e PIZARRO (2012).
