UNA GEOGRAFÍA DE LO QUE PASA Y DE LO QUE PUEDE PASAR

Los enfoques más que representativos en geografía han sido denominados geografía de lo que sucede, lo que se explica por su atractivo al buscar resaltar las relaciones cotidianas en sus investigaciones. Recientemente, la corriente filosófica del realismo especulativo ha presentado críticas a enfoques relacionales, como aquellos que fundamentan la geografía de lo que sucede. Este artículo, esencialmente epistemológico, busca evaluar el impacto de la crítica del realismo especulativo en la discusión teórica de la geografía de lo que sucede. Concluimos en medio de la discusión propuesta que los enfoques espectrales en geografía se presentan como un factor atenuante en la crítica y que la geografía de lo que sucede se convierte, en medio del ajuste a la crítica estrictamente relacional, en una geografía de lo que sucede y de lo que puede ocurrir.
