Uma GEOGRAFIA DO QUE ACONTECE E DO QUE PODE ACONTECER

As abordagens mais-que-representacionais em geografia têm sido chamadas de geografia do que acontece, o que se explica pelo seu apelo em buscar evidenciar as relações cotidianas em sua pesquisa. Recentemente, a corrente filosófica do realismo especulativo tem apresentado críticas às abordagens relacionais, tais como as que substanciam a geografia do que acontece. Este artigo, essencialmente epistemológico, busca avaliar o impacto da crítica do realismo especulativo para a discussão teórica da geografia do que acontece. Concluímos em meio a discussão proposta que as abordagens espectrais na geografia se apresentam como um atenuante na crítica e que a geografia do que acontece se torna, em meio ao ajuste frente as críticas estritamente relacionais, uma geografia do que acontece e do que pode acontecer.
