Abstract

This study deals with the Career Development procedures of teaching staff at the Federal University of Grande Dourados – UFGD. This involves comparing requests for teaching progression and functional promotion, when requested late. The analysis covers the years 2021 to 2024, with the years 2021 and 2022 using the criteria set out in COUNI Resolution No. 007, of March 20, 2014 compared to the years 2023 and 2024, based on COUNI Resolution 377, of December 15, 2022. For the development of the research, the methodology used is classified as quantitative and qualitative, through documentary research, given the need to consult Ordinances granting progressions and promotions in the university's Service Bulletins. The results demonstrated that the extension of the deadline for requesting teacher progressions and promotions provided for in the new Resolution resulted in a reduction of 51 processes, which is equivalent to 31.29% of the processes requested in delay in the years 2023 and 2024 compared to 2021 and 2022.
