Abstract

This study quantified and analyzed the physicochemical characteristics of water drained by air conditioners from two schools in Mato Grosso, aiming at the appropriate application of reused water. The results showed that flow can reach 2220 L per month and that there were significant differences between total hardness, pH, electrical conductivity, and total dissolved solids between reused water and supplied water. There was a similarity in the quantification of metals between the samples. It was suggested that reused water be used for cleaning and irrigating schools, as well as for external activities such as power generation and civil construction. This had a positive impact on environmental, scientific, and sustainable education within the community.
