In this work, lead dioxide was electrodeposited from waste containing lead nitrate. The obtained electrode was employed as anode in an electrolytic cell used to perform the electrodeposition of copper from copper salt waste produced in practical Chemistry classes. Electrolytic copper recovery provided good quality deposits when vinegar was used in the bath, which proved to be attractive from the sustainability point of view. Moreover, the presence of dendrites was observed at the deposits obtained by baths containing sodium acetate and/or Triton X-100 at 2.0 mA/cm2. Despite this, the films obtained can be used in powder form.
