Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • URLs for referrals were provided when it's possible.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Author Guidelines, on the About the Journal page.

Author Guidelines

RCT accepts papers in the formats of Articles, Communications, Technical Notes and Reviews. Papers sent for publication written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish are accepted. It’s noteworthy that:

  • NO COST: The RCT highlights that both the submission and the entire processing (review, editing, archiving, etc.) of the article are free of charge for the author(s).
  • WORK CONTENT: The content of the texts is the sole responsibility of the authors.

The works must be sent in the extension .pdf (Portable Document Format) strictly obeying the RCT Template

ATTENTION: Authors should send the first version of the article for blind review, in this way, the information that can identify the authors will be hidden. To do so, authors must insert a  whiteboard containing the phrase “blind review”  on the information that identifies them. If the article is accepted for publication, it will be requested to remove the frame.

NOTE: after the review is finished and the article is accepted, the section editor will guide you on the delivery of the final version of the work and the signing of the Publication Authorization Term.

 

ATTENTION TO SECTIONS

A RCT accepts applications for publication of works in the areas of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering, grouped into five (05) sections. Take a close look at the scope of each of the sections below and select the one that most closely matches your work. Below are the RCT SECTIONS and their SCOPE:

Architecture and Urbanism

Research covering knowledge such as the production of built space, environmental comfort, energy efficiency and accessibility, urban and regional planning and management, landscaping, home automation technologies, restoration methods and technologies, the study of constructions and building materials, whether contemporary or traditional and past technologies, and research, studies and evaluation of built space in architecture and urbanism.

Science and Technology in Education

This section is intended to disseminate work related to teaching, learning and/or teacher training processes in the areas of science and technology. Such works can be theoretical, results of original research and reports of teaching experiences, as well as the use of technological resources in the areas of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Articles can address issues related to basic and higher education.

Civil Engineering and its Applications

This section is intended to disseminate works that address research that focus on the study of the various areas of Civil Engineering, covering knowledge such as planning and control of works, geotechnics, transport, roads and ports, management of water resources, structural systems, sanitation, environmental control and management and computational methods applied to Civil Engineering.

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and their applications

This section is intended to link works that address research results that focus on the exact sciences of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, disseminating both works with pure characteristics, which address basic knowledge and fundamentals in itself, as well as disseminating works characterized as applied, which aim to use the knowledge of these sciences to solve practical problems.

Information, Communication, and Energy Technologies

This section is intended to disseminate works that address research results that focus on the study of the set of technological resources and their applications, which, through the functions of hardware, software, and telecommunications, provide or improve information and communication processes, including articles that focus on technologies aimed at the generation, transmission and distribution of electric energy, and studies related to technological resources that enable the optimization of energy efficiency, accepting works by researchers in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and related areas.

These rights pertain to the copyright and publication of the work anywhere in the world, including rights to renewals, expansions, and dissemination of the contribution, as well as other subsidiary rights. The author(s) are allowed to publish the contribution in another medium, printed or digital, in Portuguese or in translation, provided that due credit is given to RCT.
