Abstract

There is currently little that most municipalities already showing real signs of destruction of their natural resources. Taking into account this situation, this paper aims to show the main environmental aspects that have been destroyed by man, but also describe the model of integrated environmental management that is being developed for the municipality of the Holy Spirit, in order to minimize or correct, the critical issues identified in this location. To carry out the proposed activities we performed an exploratory investigation of where we tried to identify the main environmental aspects that have been affected by the destructive action of man. With the analysis carried out it was found that the level of environmental awareness of the population is low. The most important is the pollution of the city's main river. Why not be the source of supply of the municipality (water consumed by the population comes from a wealth of neighboring community), the river became the site of deposition of solid waste generated in the city. When dealing with the waste of health services, it was noted that despite being packaged separately from other waste, hospital waste is mixed with the other at the time of collection, and placed on a ground near the river, as other waste. But for this to be done correctly and efficiently, you need to act in an integrated manner.
