This technical note investigates coffee production in Acre, focusing on the availability of Canéfora coffee cultivars and the existence of qualified seed and seedling producers. The motivation is the significant growth in production, with a projected 59.8% increase by 2025, and an average yield above the national average. The methodology combined documentary research in official databases of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA)—National Cultivar Registry (RNC), National Cultivar Protection Service (SNPC), and National Seed and Seedling Registry (RENASEM)—with qualitative data analysis. Seven Embrapa cultivars were identified, all registered, protected, and recommended for the state, demonstrating the existence of high-quality and adapted genetic material. Regarding supply, Acre has eleven registered seedling producers, nine of which are in good standing. However, the lack of registered seed producers makes the dissemination of the technology entirely dependent on the supply of seedlings. It can be concluded that the technological and regulatory foundation for the expansion of coffee production in Acre is consolidated. The main challenge is not the lack of cultivars, but the need for greater coordination between producers, technical assistance, and nurseries to ensure the use of certified seedlings. Fostering this connection, disseminating information, and encouraging productive organization are crucial steps to realize the state's growth potential, strengthening the sector and enabling access to higher-value markets.
