Abstract

The search for the motivation of employees is an important tool to stand out in the business world, it has increasingly motivated workers means giving them more committed to playing their roles in the organization. This research proposes to identify the level of affinity of the teachers at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) with Theories of Motivation through an exploratory and quantitative research. As the results, teachers had greater identification with the Socially Acquired Needs Theory. Already Theory X and Y stood out in a negative way, reaching only 33% of acceptance. Moreover, one can establish a relationship between education and acceptance of motivational theories in general. Teachers with graduate index gained 67% acceptance. It is concluded that motivational theories have been well accepted by the teaching community of UFRR, demonstrating the reliability of the theories commonly used in the context of organizational psychology.
