Evolution of an agricultural cooperative in land reform settlement in the State of Roraima

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the survival of a cooperative in a land reform settlement in Boa Vista, Roraima. And also seeks report the statements of some members, checking the needs of an agricultural cooperative for small farmers of this land reform settlement. The methodology used was the case study, with qualitative and quantitative. As to the objectives was exploratory and descriptive, and procedures was bibliographical, documentary and field. Results revealed that people concerned with transparent and willing to work collectively, it found good support within the organization. And that makes their work to improve the lives of farmers, adding value to your product, generate income and combat poverty, social exclusion in the Amazon.
