Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the main factors of competition and cooperation, cooperative Unimed Boa Vista, specifically in the field of orthopedics. It was used as instruments to qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. As an instrument of data collection, It was used a questionnaire with open and closed questions. Identified that attendances of patients with complex diagnoses by the adoption of certain surgical procedures promote both competition and cooperation, as the need to generate team unity and, on the other hand, higher incomes to individual members. However, even though there is competition, it was found that, in the overview of the associates surveyed, cooperation prevails. Likewise, it can be inferred that there are rare situations where there is only the cooperative cooperation. It would be a mistake to believe that a professional environment of a cooperative, is guided exclusively on cooperation actions, market-related activities, including and often require competitive behaviors.
