Cooperatives or disguised capitalism? a brief analysis of agricultural cooperatives in Roraima

This article aims to discuss the agricultural cooperatives in Roraima from the point of view of theoretical and practical. In this sense, we will not discuss about the origins of cooperative romantic way in which we have reported earlier times that discuss about the birth of the spirit of cooperation as a way intrinsic to men. But we understand that it is necessary to contextualize the emergence of the cooperative movement, as a response to social changes resulting from the economic liberalism of the nineteenth century. We understand that it is necessary to deal with the origin and development of cooperatives in order to have clarity of the subject in order to identify the ways that many agricultural cooperatives embarked. What we found with the study is that many of these cooperatives have distorted the cooperative spirit in all aspects. Many of them assume behaviors of private companies. Cooperative which are used only as tools for its members to benefit from incentives that guarantee certain laws.Downloads
