Abstract

The discussion on collaborative networks has expanded in recent years, claiming that these new developments are based on trust and cooperation, in which the interdependence between organizations makes them stronger and more dependent on partnership. However, the process of joint action depends on intangibles like confidence. This study aims to identify the determinants propensity to work in networks of furniture companies in Boa Vista. We analyzed the influence of trust and made an analysis of social networks in order to identify through different degrees of centrality, and the position of each company in relation to others. This descriptive, cross-sectional, with the method used, the amount applied through survey, whose data were analyzed with software UNICET 6289 and Pajek 1.19. As a result, we identified the sector the existence of two groups of companies, one formed by franchise brands from other states and other formed by local manufacturers of furniture on measure. When analyzing these variations from the model proposed by Junior Reyes et al (2011), when analyzing the first cluster that identified by their relatively high degree of reciprocity and relational power can identify this group as a group of companies ready to networking activities. The second group does not present the same level reciprocity andfeatures high power asymmetry which may allow the identification of demands in order to increase the levels of trust between the actors in this cluster.
