Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • CHECK:

    a - Have all authors been included in the submission process and are they in accordance with the order of the attached manuscript? (confirm in the item "Publication" in the option "Contributors"); if they have not all been properly inserted, we request that you carry out the submission process again

    b - Was indexing information inserted as keywords, among others requested in the submission process?

  • c - The first author, if not a Master or Doctor, must be linked to a postgraduate program (master's/doctoral student), and one of the co-author/s must have a Doctor's degree. Authors must be registered with ORCiD and inform their complete IDs in the submission process when registering the profile of each contributor. Did the submitting author associate their ORCiD record with the submission? (check this item in your profile, here's how: Edit Profile -> Public -> click "Create or Associate your ORCiD")
  • d - The file of manuscript does not contain the identification of the authors and does it conform to the RGA model?
  • e - Authors must agree and be aware of the RGA ethics policy and peer review process. It is requested that the Ethics Policy and Peer Review Process items be read in the "About the Journal" section (see in https://revista.ufrr.br/rga/about).

Author Guidelines

 

*RGA receives manuscripts (free of charge) through the online system. The author must register in advance on the page, informing the necessary data. The author and other contributors must have ORCiD registration <https://orcid.org/> and inform their respective ORCiD ID addresses in the "Additional data" option when registering with RGA. Enter the full address of your ORCiD Id, for example, "https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1027-6564".

Attention: Your ORCiD Id registration must be verified and associated with your submission, see how: After your registration and submission of the text, access your Profile: Edit Profile -> "Public" option -> click on "Create or Associate your ORCiD" .

*In the submission process all authors must be duly entered (co-authorship). Authors must have ORCiD registration <https://orcid.org/> and inform their respective ORCiD ID addresses, option "Additional data" for example: "https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1027-6564". Check other conditions to the authors below.

 

Conditions:

* RGA does not accept texts that have been submitted and/or published in other journals, or that are in the process of being evaluated; outside the standards mentioned below; not exceed the maximum limit of 5 authors. The first author, if not a Master or Doctor, must be linked to a postgraduate program (master's/doctoral student), and one of the co-authors must have a Doctor's degree. Authors must have ORCiD registration <https://orcid.org/> and inform the ORCiD in the submission process, as well as in the final edition of the manuscript after acceptance for publication.

* Authors must be aware of and agree to the RGA ethics policy and peer review process. Read about the Ethics Policy and Peer Review Process here.

* Manuscript should not exceed 20MB. Format only in ".doc" (word 2003, do not send "docx format")

* Language: The texts can be in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

Format 

* The text should be between 12 and 25 pages; citations and references must be within the brazilian  NBR6023/2002 standards (to this, we will help you).

a) Title in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish). Size 14 in bold, capital letters and centered.


b) Two lines after the title, the full name of the author (authors - maximum of 4), centralized, single spaced, size 10 in Times New Roman. It should also contain the complete affiliation (institution in full, city, postal address) and e-mail;

c) Two lines after author (s), in size 12, must contain summaries in three languages up to 250 characters. Palavras-chave, Keywords and Palabras clave with a maximum of 5 words separated by a semicolon (;) (the terms must situate the theme of the article; locate the methodology and study area Example: Geomorphology; Geomorfometry; GIS; Rio Negro; Roraima.

 

The words RESUMO, RESUMEN and ABSTRACT must be bold, capital letters and left; below should contain the text single spaced and size 12, Times New Roman, no paragraph. Titles Palavras-chave, Keywords and Palabras clave should be in bold font 12, followed by the terms normal and font size 12 separated by "point-and-comma";

d) On the next page begins the body text which should contain an introduction; materials and methods; study area; results and discussion; references. Texts of theoretical discussion, covering topics and accompanying discussion should contain at least an introduction, theoretical and discussion, other items and sub-items are free.

* The body of the letter should be in Times New Roman, 12, single spaced, 0pt and justified.

  

e) items and sub-items: The text should meet the following items and their numbering as follows (except for theoretical discussion of articles):

1. INTRODUCTION

2. MATERIALS AND METHODS

2.1. Study Area

3. RESULTS (or Results and Discussion)

4. DISCUSSION

5.FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

X. Acknowledgements (optional)

6. REFERENCES

* Sub-item judging by the authors.

* Theoretical discussion papers should have an introduction, theoretical framework, discussion and other items and sub-items are free.

* All items must be bold, high and aligned to left, spaced a line after the last paragraph and a line before the following paragraph. The sub-titles should contain only the initials in capital letters and bold and properly numbered.

 

f) Citations must comply with the brazilian standard NBR6023/2002: Citations in the text (in the body paper) should be as follows:

 

single author (AUTHOR, year); two authors: (AUTHOR, AUTHOR, year); three authors: (AUTHOR, AUTHOR, AUTHOR, year) and in the case of more than three authors (AUTHOR et al, year.). Or along in the text: In Author (1995), (...); or: The study of Author;Author and Author (yer); more than three Author, et al., (yer).

 

* The authors should be cited according to the chronological order of publication; Example: (CARVALHO, 2007; CARVALHO, 2008); (OAK, OAK, 2007; CARVALHO, et al., 2008);

 

* The citations must be properly in the REFERENCES;

* Quotes/citations of electronic addresses must be between <> and assets;

 

g) Figures, charts and tables: The figures (maps, drawings, photographs, charts come as figures) may be in color or black and white. In JPG format (maximum size of the text is 3MB). They should be cited in the text as follows: (Figure x) and following figures should be inserted in the text.

 

* The legends that reference the figure should be in size 10, the word Figure X - should be in bold, caption below the figure. Example: Figure 1 - Text of legend;

* Tables and Tables: Tables if they are of qualitative data should be closed in the external. Tables are used for quantitative data, with lateral and central open edges (see the model). The legends of the tables should be in size 10, the words Table x - should be in bold  the same should be positioned above the table or frame. The same as cited in the text should be as follows: (Table x) (Table x);


* If figures are used, and tables from other sources, this should be properly cited in the text accompanying the legend, and the citation in the references.

 

h) footnotes and direct quotes from texts are not accepted;

 

i) References: References should be cited properly throughout the manuscript and the same are listed at the end of the manuscript in item References in alphabetical order based on NBR6023 / 2002:

 * Use font size 10, single spaced. Follow the example below:
