Resumen

O texto aborda os conceitos de espaço e lugar sob a perspectiva do horizonte humanístico em geografia referenciando-os, respectivamente, como penumbra e claridade. Neste contexto, vale lembrar, o conceito lugar, baseado nos princípios da fenomenologia com a noção do mundo vivido, se confunde com a própria trajetória da geografia humanística, sendo considerado lar, por excelência, no qual a pessoa cria, projeta, vive, ama e atua. ABSTRACT The paper deals with the concepts for space and place under the perspective of the humanistic horizon in geography, referring to them, respectively, as darkness and clarity. In this context, it is worthwhile to remember that the concept for place, based on the principles of phenomenology, alongside with the notion of life-world, merges with humanistic geography's own trajectory, being considered, par excellence, a synonym for home, in which the person creates, projects, lives, loves and acts.
