Abstract

The III The Symposium of the Post-Graduation Program in Health Sciences (PROCISA), held from October 7 to 9, 2025, at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR), on the Paricarana campus, was supported by Roraima State Research Foundation (FAPERR) through the "More Events, More Science" Public Call (FAPERR NOTICE No. 003/2025, Grant term 025/2025), under the international modality. This year, the symposium has as its central theme "Amazonian Health in a Transboundary Area", which emphasizes Roraima’s commitment to promoting scientific cooperation networks with neighboring countries. The proceedings encompass the following thematic axes are: health surveillance, epidemiology and promotion; health and socio-environmental diversity in the Amazon; Public policies management and technological innovation in Amazonian health. The event featured three lectures and four roundtables, providing the audience with access to the latest research findings from 13 guests representing renowned higher education and research institutions. As an innovation to increase accessibility, this symposium was held in a hydride, including a virtual presentation rom for international submissions. The knowledge shared by leading researchers during the conference and roundtables is archived on the Health and Diversity Journal YouTube (www.youtube.com/@HealthandDiversityJournal). The organizing committee is deeply grateful for the partnership of all institutions that supported and participated in the event, as well as for the contributions of their students and professionals (faculty, researchers, and staff), many of whom presented research results form their respective institution. The III Symposium was an integral part of PROCISA institutional activities and represented a significant milestone in the internationalization of the program. Furthermore, it reaffirmed PROCISA’s commitment to the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge regarding health in the Amazon, particularly in the border contexts.
