Introduction: Nursing care in the process of bladder catheterization is extremely important to avoid complications of the patient's clinical condition in the ICU. The study was developed at Hospital Geral de Roraima and intends to analyze nursing care in the process of bladder catheterization for patients admitted to adult ICUs. Objective: This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, designed to assess the quality of bladder catheterization of patients in adult ICUs of a referral hospital in Roraima. Methods: The target population of the study was the professional nurses who work in the adult ICUs of the Hospital Geral de Roraima. The present study used the method of content analysis technique by Laurence Bardin (2016). Results: 13 (thirteen) nurses were interviewed: 10 were female; 3 male; the age group ranged between 25 and 53 years, the time of contribution in the ICU sector between 6 months and 28 years and, of the thirteen interviewed, 3 (27.3%) have specialization or residency in another area of health, 8 (54.5%) have a degree, specialization or residency in the ICU area, 2 (18.2%) have a master's degree. Conclusion: Therefore, through the exposure of the weaknesses, it is expected that the study will contribute to reflections to professionals about their care in bladder catheterization, in addition to awakening the scientific environment for new research on the theme in our region.
